Fortune is a fantastic hardy versatile plant that doesn’t have that “classic” bamboo look,  due to its thin culm. This  can be a great benefit as it is much easier to cut and shape than larger bamboo. It is still a beautiful looking plant that can fit into any style garden.

Fortune bamboo can easily handle Victorian extreme climate. It will produce a larger, longer slender leaf when grown with little sun. And will retain a smaller shorter leaf in full sun.
